What a busy day I've had today. 8 babies spayed and neutered leaving 3 to be done on Friday and 1 next week. They are all sleeping in the pens, Madam Puddifoot was the last to be done and was quite sleepy bless her, Nargle was so happy to see me as was Crookshanks who was purring at me through the carrier, so pleased they are all okay and back home. There will be photos tomorrow when they feel up to it of course, I know if I let them out the pen now they will be charging around the lounge so best to let them rest as long as possible. Peskipiksi continues to amaze me being the tiniest kitten ever with a big attitude, Theodore weighed an incredible 1.7kg. The vet was very pleased with them all. Got some Christmas shopping done finally and the last of the food shopping but unfortunately no hash browns and no black pud for Alex's full English. Just remembered to get the turkey out - whoops looks like I'll be cooking it Christmas day this year.
Royal Canin order has arrived so the kittens will have food for Christmas and some for their goody bag when they leave home, then the zooplus order arrived with litter and more food and one or 2 toys and treats for Santa to collect for Christmas, which I think the Elves have just been and taken them, yes definitely Elves there was a trail of fast disappearing elf dust in the hall.................and Enzo is staring at the door, Theodore just smacked him - business as usual again. With show bag ready yesterday for tomorrow I am none too pleased that Luna Lovegood left her mark on the show bag, now the whole lot has to be washed again - thank you Princess I needed another job to do - good job I love her. I have babies booked in for spaying and neutering on Monday and Friday. I can honestly say it's hard work with these babies but I love each and every one, who have such adorable personalities and some with their funny little ways. Peskipiksi the tiniest kitten ever has a thing for plastic bags - new Mom be aware, Filius Flitwick loves to watch the tray being cleaned out while Ginny Weasley has the use the tray every time I am emptying it. Enzo loves shoes he gets that from his Dad Nowa. Hermoine loves dashing about and Quibbler is a bundle of fun and the most talkative of the bunch. Crookshanks has turned out to be the purr machine and just adores to be fussed and cuddled and talked to, he'll reach up to my face and then insist on examining my eyes. Most of them seem to love a cup of tea, I drink coffee so Sam has to share with them lol. Who haven't I mentioned, Honeyduke is a gentle boy and so sweet, needing lots of love while his Sister Nargle is a fruitloop, lets hope Longbottom is prepared for her and whatever will the cows make of her!!! Now Theodore Nott is a giant baby who loves to play and is usually being attacked by Peskipiksi less than half his size, he is growing into a fine boy whose coat needs to soften a bit but Arabella Figg more than makes up for that, she is so soft and sweet, always looks too perfect to be real, which leaves Madam Puddifoot who can be a right little Madam, she is the fasted through the lounge door and up the stairs at every opportunity, straight under my bed giggling away because we can't get her - little Madam she is known as, Time Turner sits on my shoulder sometimes and keeps my neck warm, as she is staying here we had to chose a pet name for her which is Izabella, said in an Italian accent like Aro says in Twilight - not seen Twilight you won't have a clue what I'm on about and think my cheese had slid off my cracker. I am busy cleaning the boys pens, Hekta is settled in his new pen, just some finishing touches to do and new scratch posts to make after the New Year for all the boys. Chesta will be settled in his pen next door to his Dad again and I will have my craft room FINALLY...............which may have to accommodate kittens should the decorations prove too much temptations for the little monsters, I should have time for lots of pictures in the next few days.
With the Christmas preparations going on for everyone, I have been too busy with babies to even think about Christmas - is it January yet!!
With all the babies staying here until after Christmas i have to fit extra stockings around the fireplace for Santa and perhaps an extra few cookies for the reindeer too. |
