Whimzeerex kittens are raised in the house with the rest of the family, and this makes for well adjusted, socialised, happy, loving kitten. They start their life with their Mom giving birth in my bedroom, when she is settled and content with them I move her and the babies to the kitten pen in my bedroom, Moms don't like them out of this pen for long periods so they are handled by myself and my family several times per day, then as they begin to walk around they are moved to a heated bed that is in a secure area of my bedroom, once litter trained they have the run of my bedroom. When they are about 10-11 weeks and are already litter trained by 6 weeks but we do get the odd 'Leaky Cauldron' who confuses the food bowl with a litter tray, they have the run of the house during the day and are returned to my bedroom at night for safety, all babies will watch a Harry Potter film or two and this helps in their basic training in spells and potions.
I will provide new owners with as much information as I can, to help the kitten settle into their forever home. A supply of the food which I have been feeding to the kitten will be provided too, it is important that any kitten's food remains the same to avoid any problems, any change should be done gradually. I feel it is important to feed them only good quality food from reputable companies. I only use Royal Canin Babycat, Arden Grange adult & James Wellbeloved dry food with the following wet food that is fed occasionally to adults and twice per day to kittens Cosma Thai chicken & tuna, Animonda Carny kitten are the main brands I use, I also feed raw food. It is important to research the food if you intend to change it and always do so gradually. Dry food is down all the time here - Kimba lets me know when the bowl needs topping up, and if that's at 3am I have to get up!!!
DO NOT EVER take a kitten from a breeder and change it's food, always stick to what the breeder has told you to use and if you do wish to change the food, do so gradually over at least a month and NEVER to a supermarket brand, as these are like feeding your own children on macdonalds food every day - NOT GOOD. You will cause the kitten to have health problems sooner or later.
I am always available to answer any questions you have or to help with any problems no matter how small. I love to be updated with the kittens progress, photos are very much appreciated.
I always give the promise to new owners that if ever they unable to take care of a Whimzeerex baby I will welcome them back here to live with me or to be re-homed with a loving family if I am unable to keep them here.
I insist on meeting all members of the family initially, please come prepared with any questions you may have as I will have my own questions for you too. I will give you a list of useful and essential items you will need to buy before taking your new kitten home, it is important you have everything ready for their arrival as I would expect them to have the same or more than they have here.
