Last night Eeva finally gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens, they were weighed this morning and all have gained weight and are so cute.  Nahla's babies are doing very well indeed.  Kimba's litter are all gaining weight but not at the rate I would like so I will be offering top up feeds to them several times a day to help Kimba out.
Helga is so missing her Mom Nahla and I'm sure she looks forward to when she can play with her little Sisters and Brothers.

There is a reason for mating the girls at the same time, I had plans to move house within the next 12 months so didn't want to have babies during any upheaval and so at the time I thought it was an excellent idea, maybe I was a bit too enthusiastic for my own good.  We did weigh the the babies last night and topped 4 of the 8 up with some cimikat milk, Moms are doing very well and are so content.  We await the arrival of the next litter which are due anytime from tomorrow, but this Mom was almost a week late last time.
Helga Hufflepuff is very needy at the moment as she can't have cuddles with her Mom Nahla and Luna my little Princess, I say through gritted teeth is being as naughty as she can to divert attention to herself usually by biting my feet.
Dads are being fairly quiet today, it's all been very tiring for them!!!
Babies have all been checked, weighed, kissed and cuddled - Moms too of course.  Time for bed

Kimba had her romper taken off at midnight and she gathered up her babies straight away and hasn't left them since.  I will weigh them later to make sure all are doing well.
Now the 2nd Mom to be was drifting off to sleep next to me while biting me of course - it's her thing.  I awoke suddenly at 7am and she wasn't next to me - panic set in as I was calling her - she answered me from under the bed, which I had blocked access to!!!!
Out she came while still giving birth to a baby, it was touch and go as he had inhaled fluid but a few shakes and he was crying out for his Mom, I quickly got her settled in the box on my bed in case their were more, my Daughter rushed in, I threw the pillows off the bed and we lifted the mattress just in case and there were 2 more babies all clean dry and warm, amazing our quirky Nahla had done it all on her own and whilst I am very sad to have missed their birth I am very proud of her.  She went on to have a 4th that had died a few weeks before - very sad but it does happen.  I will bury that angel under the Oak tree with old Oska who watches over them.
The picture below shows Nahla just hours before the birth playing, so typical of her she loves to play.  Her babies are adorable, we have a red spotted tabby girl birth weight 79g, a blue tabby possibly with white boy weighing a massive 100g and not sure what colour the pale one is but he's gorgeous and weighs 87g.

With 2 hourly feeds since midnight, the babies are doing exceptionally well, they take between 2 and 5ml, which is so brilliant.  Towels and bedding are in the dryer ready for the next Whimzeerex arrivals, judging by the expectant Mom could be anytime soon, she is sat next to me right now and Hekta is announcing to the neighbourhood that his babies will soon be here.  Helga and Luna are just loving the change of routine in the household and are spreading their excitement with anyone sitting still for too long including my feet, which have taken more than their fair share of bites from the 2 of them - not funny when you are just drifting off to sleep.   
It's now 7pm and the babies have had their 9th feed from me - tired does not begin to cover it.  As you can see Kimba is doing everything a Mom should apart from feeding them.  

So pleased to announce that we have Whimzeerex babies, they arrived between 10pm and midnight.  Mom and babies are doing very well, hungry too they are, I have to hand feed for 24 hours due to blood typing of the parents.  Mom has a medical romper suit on to stop babies feeding but gives her the important bonding time.  It looks like I have a black ticked tabby, brown tabby with some lovely markings, a gorgeous red tabby and what looks like 2 si-rex.  It's 2:30am, time for a coffee before the babies next feed and then I may try to get some sleep for a couple of hours.  I have even put all the towels in the machine ready for the next litter - note to self don't bother with baby changing mats as Mom refused to give birth on them. 
Send good thoughts for the babies, I have a good feeling about them all, they drank their first lot of milk from me with no problem at.

No news as yet, jobs around the house are being done in between checking the girls, they are quite demanding of my time, which I love to give them, they are eating and drinking plenty.  Of course they are getting lots of rest on my bed, sorry their bed.  I am so looking forward to meeting the little ones.  I'm off to bed soon, no doubt will be awake in few hours to check them.  Maybe tomorrow will be the day.

I am trying not to get too stressed and the expectant ones are clearly not stressed as they are happily watching me prepare for the newborns.
My protect-a-bed mattress cover came today, in case of any accidents of course, birthing beds are on my bed ready, this is the place where they prefer to be.  I also won a Moses basket or 2 on Ebay ready for the little ones which also reminds me of when my own babies were so cute and little - a long time ago!!
Keep the coffee flowing, I feel I may need it today.  
End of the day has arrived and no babies, lets hope I get some much needed sleep tonight

With the birth of kittens due any day now, I am willingly confined to the house waiting for their safe arrival into the world.  The pens have been thoroughly cleaned and prepared, with clean blankets and heat pads ready to be turned on.  The coffee has been stocked up and I am on high alert.  Luna is in call and is happily winding everyone up, Helga tries to shut her up by tackling her to the ground and holding her down.  Chesta & Oliva are causing mayhem in their room, the pending birth of his babies is obviously too much for him.  
Hekta is currently announcing to the local neighborhood he is awake and in need of everyones attention, which makes Mia happy as she can eat all the pies.  Nowa is busy spraying his area for the day with Grandma Tigga doing what she does best, relaxing in the bed.
